Instant Domain Rating (“the Extension”) is designed to show the Ahrefs Domain Rating for the website you are currently viewing.

The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to the developer.

2. Data Collection

No personal data is collected by the developer.

Specifically:

  • No user accounts
  • No tracking
  • No analytics
  • No logging of browsing activity by the developer
  • No sale or sharing of personal data

3. Cookies

This Extension does not use cookies.

4. Local Storage

The Extension stores configuration data locally on your device using browser storage, such as Chrome storage or local storage.

This includes:

  • Your Ahrefs API key

Your API Key is only accessed:

  • When used for authentication with Ahrefs’ API
  • When set on the extension settings page
  • It is not transmitted to the developer or to any other sources

5. Ahrefs API Key

Instant Domain Rating requires you to bring your own Ahrefs API key.

Your API key is used by the Extension to request Domain Rating data from Ahrefs. The developer does not provide an Ahrefs API key, does not receive your Ahrefs API key and cannot access or recover your Ahrefs API key.

You are responsible for:

  • keeping your Ahrefs API key secure
  • ensuring your use of the Ahrefs API complies with Ahrefs’ terms
  • revoking or rotating your API key if you believe it has been exposed
  • monitoring any API usage, limits billing, or quotas connected to your Ahrefs account

6. Ahrefs Data

Domain Rating data is provided by Ahrefs.

The developer does not calculate, verify, edit or control the Domain Rating score returned by Ahrefs. Ahrefs may change its API, data, metrics, availability, pricing, rate limits, response format or access requirements at any time.

If Ahrefs returns no data, inaccurate data, delayed data or a score you do not expect, that result is outside the developer’s control.

7. Remote Requests

When you use the Extension, requests may be made from your browser to Ahrefs using your Ahrefs API key.

Those requests include the domain you are checking and your Ahrefs API Key to return the requested Domain Rating result. Ahrefs’ handling of those requests is governed by Ahrefs’ own terms and privacy policies.

8. Data Sharing

No data is shared with:

  • the developer
  • third-party advertisers
  • analytics providers
  • external services controlled by the developer

The Extension communicates directly with Ahrefs so it can provide the Domain Rating result requested by you.

9. Security

Because your Ahrefs API key may be stored locally in your browser, you should only install the Extension on devices and browser profiles you trust.

The Extension is open source, so you can inspect how it stores settings and makes API requests.

10. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if the Extension’s functionality changes. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
