SaaS Browser is a large, highly automated directory and commercial intelligence database containing information about software-as-a-service businesses. Its domain rating of 73 is impressive, but the real proposition is not simply a free backlink: submitting a product makes its business data available to brokers, marketers, researchers and other paying customers.
Submitting a product to SaaS Browser is unusually simple. You provide the website URL, and its automated system attempts to extract the information required to create a company profile.
A successful listing may provide:
The system reports processes tens of thousands of SaaS submissions each month. That scale underlines the completely automated workflow and it also means submissions can fail when their systems fail.
| Requirement | Details |
|---|---|
| Product URL | Used to crawl the product page and automatically construct the SaaS profile |
There is no manual submission form, you simply provide the product page URL.
Originally we submitted Truly Analytics using a vanity URL that redirects to the full product page. SaaS Browser’s importer failed to process it, most likely because the automated crawler could not follow or correctly interpret the redirect. We had to resubmit using the full product page and see how that follows.
Truly Analytics was submitted to SaaS Browser using its free URL-based submission process.
The import failed, and no discoverable Truly Analytics profile was found - the automated failure lead directly to no listing, not even with basic information.
Neither Google nor Brave had indexed a SaaS Browser page for Truly Analytics when checked confirming that there was no presence at all.
First Party Attribution also recorded no traffic from saasbrowser.com:

SaaS Browser had a domain rating of 73 when checked. That is extremely high for a directory, although it provides no immediate benefit when the submitted company profile does not exist or cannot be found.
It’s worth noting that even successful listings may struggle to attract search-engine attention. A directory publishing hundreds or thousands of automated profiles each month creates an enormous volume of pages for search engines to crawl and assess.
SaaS Browser does not primarily charge companies to be listed. Instead, it sells structured access to the information collected about them.
| Package | Cost | Supplied details |
|---|---|---|
| Explorer | $29 per month | SaaS product filtering by employee count, traffic, domain rank, technology, pricing and other attributes |
| Professional | Not confirmed | Enhanced commercial data, including funding news, acquisitions and related company intelligence |
| Scale | $299 per month | Broad SaaS coverage and API access to the underlying company dataset |
Its customers can use this information to identify, research and compare SaaS businesses without collecting all the data themselves.
Potential users include:
SaaS businesses receive free inclusion and potential discoverability, while SaaS Browser acquires another company record for the commercial dataset sold to paying customers.
The listing therefore has a privacy and commercial consideration that does not exist with every conventional directory. Submitting makes the company more visible not only to potential customers and search engines, but also to brokers, marketers and sales teams that may use the information for outreach or prospecting.
And lets be real, it’ll be the latter that would be more engaged and that may or may not be an issue.
Worth submitting for strategic discoverability, but not for immediate traffic or backlink value.
SaaS Browser is more interesting than a conventional AI or SaaS directory because the directory page is only one part of its business model. Its real product is the structured company intelligence gathered from submissions and made available through paid research tools and APIs.
That creates a completely unique valuable reason to be included: your directory listing may make your SaaS business discoverable to an online business broker, investor, strategic buyer or specialist marketing company. Those opportunities are unlikely to generate regular referral traffic, but one relevant introduction could be considerably more important than hundreds of routine directory visits.
The submission is free and requires only a URL, so the potential upside can justify the small amount of effort involved which is literally posting a link. However, understand what you’re exchanging: inclusion makes your company information easier for commercial researchers and sales organisations to access.
The automated system is a weakness. It failed to process the Truly Analytics vanity URL, most likely because of its redirect. Truly Analytics consequently received no confirmed listing, backlink, Google or Brave indexing, or attributed traffic. We’ve resubmitted and will keep an eye on it.
SaaS Browser’s DR 73 domain makes a successful indexed backlink potentially attractive, but that should not be the main reason to submit. The volume of automatically created profiles means any individual page may remain undiscovered or provide negligible SEO value.
The strongest reason to list is strategic discoverability. If you want the business to appear in the datasets used by brokers, researchers, investors and potential commercial partners, SaaS Browser is worth trying. Submit a direct, crawlable product URL rather than a vanity address or redirect, confirm that the importer creates a valid profile, and then move on.
Do not expect customers or meaningful referral traffic. Treat inclusion as a way of placing the company into the wider SaaS intelligence ecosystem where it might eventually contribute to a significant partnership, investment, acquisition or sale.
Truly Analytics established that its SaaS Browser submission produced no confirmed listing, indexing or measurable referral activity after the automated importer failed to process the submitted URL.
With this in mind we can infer that:
First Party Attribution distinguishes between ordinary referral activity and directory exposure that may have longer-term strategic value. In this case, no direct traffic arrived, and our Network Intelligence didn’t detect any unusual traffic so we got a pretty clear look into the failure and could easily determine what the issue likely was.
Truly Analytics can give organisations this same level of visibility, what their real traffic looks like, where it came from, and which marketing and sales activity delivers genuine value.
